Paesaggio Culturale Italiano

Paesaggio Culturale Italiano Srl was born in Summer 2009 and started its activities in 2010 with the aim of organizing a national and international network, made up of elements of tourist interest and places which, due to their historical, testimonial, architectural importance and identity appeal, including an economic and social point of view , also lend themselves to play a leading role as a travel destination in the field of responsible tourism and sustainable development policies.

The idea is to create a touristic and cultural value proposition with the purpose of linking tourism to quality and sustainability parameters in line with the Action Plan for sustainable tourism developed in Johannesburg in 2002, with the Convention European Landscape and with Unesco Conventions aimed at safeguarding, promoting and enhancing the cultural heritage (material and immaterial), natural and the expressions of cultural diversity.

The objective is to associate each area excellence factors (cultural, productive and environmental) with a coordinated and functional network focused on the protection and appropriate use of the cultural landscape (urban, rural, productive, intangible heritage), as well as committed to the conservation and enhancement of local cultural and productive identities.

Our intention is to offer the opportunity to be part of a network both local, national and having the essential quality requirements to develop internationally.

In this context, in addition to personal aesthetic standards, it is therefore essential to also value the territory as a non-renewable economic source which consequently has to be protected. In summary an example of sustainable development that involves and binds productive and heritage excellences through tourism promotion and cultural experiences.

Responsible tourism requires an approach that carefully integrates the promotion of the areas to the indispensable conservation of the local cultural heritage and the environment, highlighting the close relationship between tourism development, economic growth and conservation of cultural and environmental heritage.

I Parchi Letterari® proposition fit perfectly with this approach promoting cultural experiences related to the Intangible Heritage through events dedicated to oral and written literature, ceremonies and local craft, food and wine traditions.

The balanced combination in the interpretation of the landscape, cultural heritage and economic activities provides a powerful key for the true appreciation of the locations.

It is the objective of I Parchi Letterari® to revive in the visitor, through the immersion in the same locations that originally inspired authors for their works, similar sensations by promoting the local history, traditions and natural environment, and guiding through the inspiration that blossomed into creativity.

Who was a reader becomes a visitor and the deeper sense of awareness with which enjoys the places stimulates the sensitivity for the safeguard of the heritage and the environment. For these reasons, I Parchi Letterari® are a combination of hospitality, guided tours, events aiming also to involve defining local business initiatives (as for example food, wine and crafts).

Literature becomes instrumental to helping protecting the environment treasured as a place of inspiration; an original methodology which through the authors’ creativity interprets places as a set of environmental, social, historical, artistic resources and traditions. A sustainable development tool that cares for the territory and helps creating socio-economic benefits through a diversified value chain.

Our values and guidelines are:

Cooperation
Creating partnerships in the reference area

Adaptation to the territory
Balancing the needs of residents and visitors

Experience and Living Landscape
Not only names and dates, but experience the territory and feeling part of it; it is therefore important the involvement of all five senses.

Quality and Authenticity
The quality of services is an essential ingredient to facilitate the introduction to the history, culture and landscape of a territory; (re)-discovering the uniqueness of a location not simply by visiting but by really experiencing it.

Safeguard and Protection
The cultural, historical and natural resources of a community are unique and irreplaceable; the Cultural Landscape is a resource and it is essential that it cared for through a shared recovery and protection policy.
Likewise, it is extremely important the rediscovery, reinstating as a local cultural identity and the promotion of local traditions.
